I am so on board with duck dying his anime protag hair black but look, listen, he still had to grow up sorta unremarked on so: bright orange hair that’s unusual for his family and lights up like a beacon you could say like a flame in the right light

addendum I feel like duck is the kind of person who gets a sharp haircut and looks good for a month and then just puts off getting it cut again until he has to start tying it up to get it out of his face. this results in a predictable mullet. he also has several cowlicks that lend him duckbutt sasuke hair. you can’t change my mind.

I haven’t caught up with Amnesty in a while, but my favorite thing about this is the last illustration, because it’s just…he’s chubby, and out of shape, and cynical, and weary, and he does everything he can to hide it, but he’s still the hero striding out of the mist.  He can’t not cut a heroic figure, no matter what shape he’s in.  It’s in his blood.  It’s in his heart.  Whatever he does looks heroic by virtue of him doing it.  He hates that, but it’s true.
